Day 1 - Airport– Lezhe.
After your arrival at the airport, departure for Lezhë. Depending on your arrival time, take an afternoon walk at Rëra e Hedhur in Shëngjin, where you will admire the wonderful natural phenomenon of a sand dune.
Dinner and overnight stay in Ishull Lezhë.
Day 2 – Ishull Lezhë – Kune-Vain Lagoon
After breakfast, head toward the Kune-Vain Lagoon, the country’s first protected area since 1940.
There is the possibility to cycle around the lagoon, swim at an unspoiled beach, or even take a boat ride and observe Dalmatian pelicans, flamingos, ducks, and more.
Then you will be welcomed by a warm local family in a small fishing village, where you will enjoy delicious local cuisine made with 100% organic products. The afternoon is dedicated to an introduction to local life:
– Exploration of the surroundings.
- Picking various fruits and vegetables (depending on the season).
- Taking part in cutting weeds along the lagoon’s banks so that the fishermen’s boats can reach the shore more easily.
- Milking.
- Learn to cook the Albanian way…
Dinner and overnight stay in Ishull Lezhë.
Day 3 - Ishull Lezhe – Theth.
After breakfast, departure for Zadrimë where you will visit a potter and a soap workshop. Craftsmanship is highly developed in this area, and you will be able to connect with artisans and locals.
Then you will head to Mrizi i Zanave, the country’s most famous agritourism restaurant. Opened by the Prenga brothers in 2010, you will admire the delicious food, the vineyard, the wine cellar, as well as the farm.
After lunch, set off on a 3-hour drive toward Theth.
Theth is a tourist village located in the heart of the Albanian Alps, known for its exceptional biodiversity, including the beech forest listed by UNESCO.
Arrival in Theth and check-in at a guesthouse.
Dinner and overnight stay in an inn in Theth.
Day 4 – Theth – The Blue Eye – Theth
Breakfast at the inn and departure toward Nderlysaj for a one-hour drive, followed by a hike to the Blue Eye. The Blue Eye is an incredible natural spring and a paradisiacal place where you can relax and swim in clear, pristine water.
You can have lunch by the spring or at the wooden tables built nearby by the locals.
On the way back, stop at the Grunas Waterfall, which will amaze you with its 30-meter cascade.
In the afternoon, free time, during which you can visit the *kulla*, or even the church in the center of the village.
Then return to your guesthouse. Dinner and overnight stay in Theth.
Day 5 - Theth – Shkodra
After breakfast, head toward the tourist village of Shiroka, located on the shores of Lake Shkodra (the largest lake in the Balkans).
There is the option to take a boat ride or go kayaking on the lake.
Lunch in Shirokë.
In the afternoon, head to the largest city in the north, the cradle of Albanian culture, Shkodra. Visit the Rozafa Castle, which will offer you superb views over the lake, the Drin River, and the Kir River.
Then you will admire the Venetian architecture in the city center, where you can visit the Marubi National Museum of Photography, the cathedral, the Venetian mask workshop, or even a 17th-century old bridge.
Dinner and overnight stay in a beautiful two-century-old house.
Day 6 - Shkodra – Valbona
After breakfast, set off on a 2-hour drive toward Koman, a lake formed between 1980 and 1988 when a hydroelectric dam was built on the Drin River. Board a boat and cruise along the river for about 3 hours. You will sail through the wonderful Albanian fjords that will accompany you all the way to Fierza.
Then continue the journey by road toward Valbona.

There is the option to go on 1–2 hour hikes around the village, visit an old mill, meet shepherds and help them in the sheepfold, or take part in planting trees or vegetables (depending on the season).

Day 7 – Valbona – Tirana
After breakfast, you will follow a road that takes you through Europe’s newest country, Kosovo. Once your passports have been stamped at both border crossings, you will travel down the “Highway of the Nation” to the village of Katuni i Vjetër in Mirdita, also known as the Vatican of the Balkans, as this region is entirely Catholic.
Lunch in a restaurant in the middle of the forest.
Then continue the journey by road toward Tirana.
Capital since 1920, it has experienced significant population growth, with 1 million inhabitants—almost half of the country’s total population—living there.
You will visit Skanderbeg Square with the monuments that surround it, the Et'hem Bey Mosque, the Clock Tower, the Opera, the National History Museum, and the ministerial buildings.
Depending on the time available, there is the possibility to visit the New Bazaar, the Blloku district, the Embassy district, or the “Commune of Paris” neighborhood, where you will admire street art and mural art on buildings, particularly from the communist period.
Dinner at Uka Farm, an agritourism restaurant located 15 km from Tirana.
Overnight stay in Tirana.
